Moreton Island一老妇被发现异常死亡于家中

State Emergency Services volunteers are scouring the area surrounding a Moreton Bay island home where a grandmother was found dead earlier this week.

Widow Liselotte Watson, 85, was found dead in "unusual circumstances" in her Macleay Island home about 4pm on Tuesday.

Her body was found on the floor of her bedroom. It's understood traces of blood were also found in the room.

Detective Superintendent Geoff Sheldon said it appeared the woman had died in "unusual circumstances".

"As a result of our inquiries we're treating this as suspicious," he said yesterday.

Homicide detectives have established a major incident room at Cleveland.
