The RBA has a Christmas present for home owners and prospective buyers, dropping the rate by 0.25% to 3.00% p.a.

2012 was a mixed bag for property in Australia, with the market um-ing and ah-ing its way toward an upturn. Confidence lagged, but several interest rate cuts and investment in new homes around the country looks set to boost the market.
