A SECURITY guard has been bitten and punched after disturbing a burglar at a Queensland Rail workshop at Redbank, west of Brisbane.
Police said the guard was responding to a security alarm at the address in Weedman Street when he heard footsteps behind him.
As he turned around to confront his follower, he was pushed up against a wall.
A struggle broke out, and the guard was bitten on the forearm and then hit in the head.
He chased the offender down a verandah but lost his attacker when he jumped a wire fence.
Ipswich detectives are investigating the incident.
The guard was treated at Ipswich Hospital for a "bump on his head" and may have to undergo disease testing. |
